Who We Are

We are Oregon Republicans. For nearly 75 years, our local club has worked alongside the state and national Republican organizations to promote candidates and ideas that stand for the principles and values we hold dear.

Oregonians are pioneers, risk-takers, and change-makers. We believe freedom is the key to prosperity and that shrinking government is the way to get there. Oregon Republicans remain true to the Oregon Trail entrepreneurial spirit of that brought our state's founders across the continent in the 1850s.

What We Do

We seek opportunities to build a strong, informed and involved citizenry. We promote candidates and issues that honor the unique founding principles of American governance and equip thoughtful and informed voters to lead our communities and our country. An informed and active citizenry is fundamental to the strength of the American experiment of “We the People”. . . and vital to our democratic Republic.

What We Believe

WE BELIEVE the strength of our nation lies with the individual and that each person's dignity, freedom, ability, and responsibility must be honored.

WE BELIEVE free enterprise and encouraging individual initiative have brought this nation opportunity, economic growth, and prosperity.

WE BELIEVE government must practice fiscal responsibility and allow individuals to keep more of the money they earn.

Our Objectives and Mission

 

  • Increase the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government;

  • Promote an informed public through political education and activity;

  • Foster loyalty to the Republican Party at all levels of government;

  • Work for Republican candidates in all elections, including non-partisan elections;

  • Support the objectives and policies of the Oregon Republican Party (ORP) and the Republican National Committee (RNC);

  • Support the objectives and policies of the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) and the Oregon Federation of Republican Women (OFRW).

Become A Member

We invite your participation to educate, inform and promote JCRW projects and goals, by joining us and contributing time or funding for our programs.

We meet the second Thursday of each month (except July & August) for a luncheon business meeting and program. We hold a BBQ social/fundraiser each September and get together for social and educational activities. See volunteer opportunities on the Membership page.
